For -M- Lamomali is a symbol of what music can do: unite, move and transport beyond words.
Lamomali will never have carried his name so well, as the Kora and the soul of Toumani Diabaté resonate in this spiritual adventure.
This instrument, which plays a totemic role in Malian culture, embodies an ancestral link with the memory of griots, a breath of life and tradition that crosses the ages.
It becomes a bridge between cultures, an ancestral voice that dialogues with the present.
Infused with the exceptional voice of Fatoumata Diawara, the virtuoso playing and notes of Kora by Toumani Diabaté and his son Sidiki, the first installment of this Malian epic began in 2017, and saw the birth of an album with cult titles such as “Bal de Bamako” or ” Manitoumani “, followed by a mythical tour. Today, -M- opens a new chapter and returns with a series of exceptional concerts where the emotion will be multiplied, reinterpreting iconic songs and new songs.
Lamomali is neither a sequel nor a repetition, but a deep exploration of the roots that gave birth to it. This new tour is an invitation to immerse yourself in cultures that intersect and respond to each other, and to feel the power of music through traditional instruments, exceptional voices, and performances by artists from all walks of life, all carried by aM- which never ceases to reinvent itself.
A roaring tour of life and love, talent and audacity, tradition, innovation and unbridled imagination will bring you to festivals this summer, before taking the road to Zéniths and Arenas from September.
